Reading Construction Documents (6 hrs.)
This 2-part online program is for entry-level architectural or engineering designers, apprentices, entry-level tradespersons, project coordinators, assistant project managers, new project managers, estimators, specialty sales representatives, or anyone in career transition looking for a refresher.
Designed to quickly familiarize students with the basics of reading and understanding construction documents. From navigating title block information to combing through specification documents, participants will learn how to navigate a project and understand the material and construction requirements.

Course Requirements (Technology & Participation)
Please ensure you meet the following requirements:
Have Bluebeam 2018 or newer installed, and ready to go before class. If you don’t currently have a license of Bluebeam Revu, you can download a free trial here.
Attendance via tablet or phone is not recommended. You should have a mouse with a scroll wheel when attending this class. In Bluebeam there are several right-click shortcuts, and the wheel will help you zoom in/out on documents.
2-screen computer set-up is recommended. This will allow you to watch the instructor on one screen while practicing on the other.
Instructor Bio:
As a Bluebeam Certified Consultant, Bluebeam Certified Instructor, and Implementation Specialist, Troy travels the country training nearly 4,000 students annually with customized tools and workflows. These extensive and diverse training opportunities have led to Troy being a requested annual presenter at AIA meetings along with several industry conferences including Bluebeam’s very own eXtreme Conference (XCON).
Approaching 30 years in the industry, Troy has cultivated a deep understanding of the requirements of customers, the needs of end users, common goals of management, and the capacities of the technology. He has led many companies through successful software implementations and training. Having served as the BIM Manager for a large multi-discipline engineering firm, he provides a broad understanding of the industry, the evolution of technology, and the importance of change management.

All training course sales are final. However, we do understand that unexpected situations can occur. For that reason, cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the class start time are eligible for a refund, less any applicable processing fees.
Due to the resources involved in preparing our courses, cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class start time are not eligible for refunds.
Student substitutions will not be allowed less than 48 hours before the class start time.
